Some plans, and pictures! The Yoke assembly was the most difficult. The scalloped radius will be welded to my 3PH frame assy, which I forgot to Photo. It allows the main beam to raise/lower as it swings the Grinder wheel assy. The parts with the tube laying next to them, will be my mounts for the hydro cyls. I've got to weld the tubes to the plate to make a hinge! As I said, the gearbox is 'beefy'. Last pic is the mounting plates for the toplink connection

Here's the frame, that all the parts/pieces get welded to. It's made of 2" steel gas main, a couple of long-radius 90* elbows, and a 3" channel for a foot. The guys at work were nice enough to 'glue' this together for me, but now I'm on my own! ~Scotty

Scott...looks good! the gear box input shaft is smooth, what is the plan for connecting the drive shaft? Bill

Man the work looks nice and I really can't wait to hear the results as this has been a project on my list as well. But using the stove as a work table and the carpet as a bolting platform.. Either you are single or you have done something bad to your wife.

You owe her a new stove for sure.

The input shaft is facing you. It's 1-3/8 6-spline for PTO. The the output shaft is splined w/ a 3" in diameter collar that will be welded inside the wheel. As for the photo set-up, the wife was out, and I figured the range hood light was 'studio-lighting'!
Buy a new stove? Does this mean I can't get her that Plasma-Cutter (that I'm sure she wants) for Mother's Day? ~Scotty

I am truly sorry I ever insinuated you did something bad to the wife. Clearly you love her, and the of course the purchase of the plasma cutter that she desperatly needs and wants more than absolves you from that small grease stain on the carpet in the living room.

Scotty...you are the man!

a good freind of mine got his wife a wheel barrow for here birthbay, then a Kubota B series for the anniversary. many years later he bought a Honda Element for her (without here knowledge) because she need a car...to all of his close freind amaze...he bought two of them, one for here and later as the dealer got more stock...one for him. they are still married after 25 plus years. btw, they are still driving the Elements!

Now for the project...keep the pitures comming.
