No wal-mart:mad: I know there not as good. But that's what makes it fun. It's like going for all you can eat. Get your monies worth. But the pull is true.

Will low battery not heat the glow plugs?

If the glow plugs rely on a relay, and the relay won't pull in at the low bat votlage.. then yeah... a low bat can prevent a glow plug from heating.

So it can really hurt everything. If the battery drops to nothing then it is not able to charge to plugs?

My battery box site below the radiator. It's not like some of the older ones where it sits infront of the radiator. It's in a box that is below the frame. I can touch my post without opening the hood. Just don't do it without looking

If you are talking about voltage and current, it would not matter if you touched both post at the same time. It is the resistance in your body, and that is high, that determines the current that will flow. When I was a kid and learning electronics, I really thought that if you touched both post, you would electrocute yourself. I dared someone to do it. He reached over with two pliers and picked up the battery by the terminals. I was amazed, and then I learned more about current, resistance, and voltage. Now , if you were to lay a metal bar across those terminals, you would get a very good demonstration of a short circuit. It only takes about 30 ma to hurt you.

That is true. I was just saying that I am able to see my post without opening the top. My radiator is sitting above the battery box.

The metal bar will heat up dangerously, if shorted across the terminals. But, there will still be no shock hazard to a human.

I used to wear a watch with a metal band years ago. I stopped when it accidentally shorted the positive terminal on a side terminal battery, and a transmission cooling line, while servicing a radiator hose. It got extremely hot in about 2 seconds. So hot, that I could not undo the clasp.

Saw a guy power paint sprayer and ionized the air by a transformer. Zap. Remember 9 volts and your toung. That is why remotes for TV went to AA. It helped keep people from taking the battery out of fire alarms.

Does anyone mind that this is off the original topic?
