Not long after I took delivery of my brand spanking new Kubota L3130.. (my first tractor with a ROPS) I was pulling it into the garage when all of a sudden I heard this horrible wood cracking sound.
I had forgot to fold the ROPS.
Good thing I was going in slowly, but the front end had lifted off the ground and the ROPS had actually angled back enough to slip under the garage door soffet. I used the loader to try to take pressure off, but as I pulled out.. I proceeded to rip several boards out. I have natural pine siding and it took 3 weeks to find the rough cut to match.
the good news? If there is any after such an idiotic move..
The ROPS had two small scratches but was still straight and strong.
Also, I had an excuse to buy a new table saw to cut the lumber down to size. And after a summer in the sun the wood has faded to match the rest of the house.
I now back-in to the garage.
