I built this backhoe for my 2210. I thought it turned out well.
I had these pictures posted in the JD forum awhile back. I thought their might be some interest over here.

Your own plan? That's quite a bundle of hose on the right side, why do they seem to be disconnected?

Looks nice! If my tractor project goes ok I will be building a BH also.
Looks like you have a smaller diam cyl on the bucket than the rest?
I like what you did with the hose routing.
Got any plans you can share?:)
Thanks, Tim

lwalsh,

Am I correct in assuming that the hoe hydraulics are run off of a PTO pump and seperate reservoir?

The disconnected hoses are for the bucket tip cylinders. I disconnect these to plug in the hoses for the cyl. that angles the plow I have on the loader.
The backhoe bucket and stabilizer cylinders are 2" and the rest are 2.5".
All the critical dimentions for the hoe were taken from a BX22. I designed my own sub frame similar to what deere does for the larger cuts. The hydraulics are off the tractor, no pto pump required.

lwalsh,

Your 2210 is about the same size as my Simplicity Legacy diesel. Do you have an extra hydraulic aux. circuit to run your hoe in addition to the loader arm lift circuit and bucket tilt/curl circuit? You mentioned using the tilt/curl lines to run your plow angle which is what I do with mine because I don't have that third aux. line (just a joystick for loader controls). According to JD specs., you are running at 5+ gpm on the tractor hydraulics for your hoe or anything else. Enlighten me, if you would, as to how you plumbed this and how you get enough hydraulic power to run that awesome BH. I'd love to build one too. Thanks.

Dave
