Subaru Brake Line Recall Service Experience

Fred I have a question on my 2014 Forester. It's a year old and we have an intermittent problem with opening up the rear hatch. It opens ok with the remote, and the button on the dash, but only 80% of time by the outside button in the center of the rear door. It only works about 20% of the time for my wife and she is beginning to think the car does not like her specifically. Any Ideas what it could be?

Doing the headgaskets without pulling the engine is asking for trouble, there is no way to get everything clean and dry, also we use the turbo gaskets for better results.
Yeah, two owners later it blew up at 244,000, only lasted 104,000 miles....

So does Hooterville = Colchester?

Sounds like a bad switch. Should be covered under the 3/36 bumper-to-bumper warranty.

Just a sanity check. Assume all the doors are all unlocked right? I am pretty sure that button won't function unless all four doors have been unlocked (not just the front driver's door).

s219 - Yes, the door are all unlocked, it makes the noises like it is trying to unlock but just can't quite get there.

Fred, pm coming your way. I have to take it in next week for the free oil change and I know it will be working perfect that day. You are a good resource person to know. No rust so far, but then we have no snow or salt. We love it for these county mud/gravel roads and the ground clearance is good enough for road kill.
