Subaru Robin EH65 Issues

Congratulations! That is good news.

There is an old timer method of removing the spark plugs and then pushing a long dowel through the spark plug hole to find when each piston is at maximum compression, and adjusting the valves then. I have never tried it.

All the best,

Peter
I've done that on a couple motorcycles, and a Chevy 230L6. Quick way to see if you're close to TDC.

On the blower housing I made a cut with the Dremel tool from one side to the other down the middle. I then can take off the top half.
That way I can clean the engine and replace ignition coils.
Is the carburetor solenoid getting power. I think this just cuts off fuel to the main jets, not idle. Somebody correct if I am wrong

Hi BobRip,
Thanks for the Dremel tool suggestion. I've just spent an hour under my Gravley Treker trying to get the fan housing off so I can troubleshoot or replace ignition coils. Spent the entire time wondering why Suburu didn't think of your solution. Great idea!
Alan
