SUDT

I was told by the 2 local dealers that I dont need the SUDT the reg UDT will be fine because the SUDT is only needed for arctic temps. has anyone heard that before

AKKKK Fords are better than Chevies and Dodges are junk.
Go to the main search page and do a search for SUDT for the last 12 months. More than you can read. Some say if you don't use SUDT your tractor will instantly self destuct and others say it don't make a tinkers ****. Your same question is in there somewhere. And yes we have heard that before. And that some dealers do not even stock SUDT.

My dealer stocks SUDT, but says it makes no difference that they've seen in our climate.

The only reason they carry it is because some folks insist on it. As far as the dealer is concerned, they'll be happy to take the money, but they sure don't push the stuff.

I was told by THREE dealerships.. (1 in Ohio....1 in Ky..and 1 in NY state that I called) that they dont even stock it...but can order it if I wished...and they used the normal UDT and 80-90 wgt gear oil for the front drive!!!

Today I just picked up two 2.5 gallon containers of the SUDT, $34 each. The repair forman who happen to be in the parts area made a point to tell me only use SUDT! I figured for what I paid for the tractor what is a few more $$, every 300 hours?? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Im with you NYYF, super udt is going in my B3030 for my 50 hour (past due!) service next week. My book keeper has said to me on a few occasions, you spend a lot of money on oil. My responce is always, how many replacement engines do we buy?

Okay, what does SUDT mean? UDT mean?

In older machines I don't think it really matters so much, however in the newer ones you can tell a performance difference. The transmissions are quiter, loaders smoother, and things don't heat up as much. If you have an RTV is an absolute must.

I'm in Ontario and my dealer has been talking me into using Case UDT since the machine was new. It now has 700 hours on it. I called another Kubota dealer to see if he has the SUDT and he almost told me I was crazy. He claimed there is no such thing. Makes a person wonder how close the relationship is between Kubota and the dealers.
