I think I will make a habit of not standing in front of any doors when I ring the doorbell....

Frankly, if someone rang my door bell at 2:00 AM and wasn't standing in front of the door...

I would probably buy her her own. You might need yours.

I would probably let her buy her own gun, even if I gave her the cash as a gift... liability is liability..

The most ridiculous thing I read this year yet.

If nobody posts something better (I mean worse) by year's end, do I win the Cuda Award?

My math may be off, but two threads in less than 35 days having over 500 posts has to be a record of some sort.

Sigarms what you say is truly valid and then the OP himself jumps in.......NO discriptors about who, what, why, when, where, of who "MOM" is nor other valid descriptors that help folks come to his aid...........Seems another one of those thread counts = credibility type situations for this specific OP........If I am wrong....sorry just seems a bit funny in more ways than one..........God bless.......Dennis

My quality Chevy dies at 2 a.m. on the way home from church. Having planned ahead, I take the life size cardboard cutouts of Jesus and a Girl Scout, stand them in front of the peephole. I take my magic wand and press the doorbell button....

Failing to plan, is planning to fail.

sweettractors has the right idea...The Judge! I have one with a six inch barrel and I would grab that before anything else for home defense. They come in a variety af barrel lengths. The ONLY ammo to use in a Judge for self or home defense is Winchester PDX-1 .410 shells. The shell contains 3 copper clad discs and 12 BB's, Google Winchester PDX1 and watch the videos. Don't let anyone tell you a .410 PDX1 shell wont stop a bad guy, it is equivalent to a .357 round. My Lady was concerned about recoil until I had her fire a few boxes and she became comfortable with the recoil.

I have a Judge and like it. But, S&W just came out with a similar gun that handles .45 ACP in addition to .410 and .45 Colt. I would like the option of a .45 ACP round.
