I hear you. But they're really expensive. There are so many places to spend money on a tractor (extra implements, extra hydraulics, etc, etc) if I just need to keep the sun off, why not go cheap????? I’ve got a really durable piece of 1/4 aluminum diamond plate on my grasshopper.

If you can weld, make one from square tubing and sunbrella fabric. If you don't know how to weld hire it out. It shouldn't cost more than $200.

Look online for golf cart canopy tops. There are a lot of them from cheap to gold plated and lots of sizes. Should be able to find something that will work.
