Wow... and no fires around?

Not around here, anyway. Multiple lightning caused fires on the Nevada-California border as of last night.

I love sunset water pics... especially reflections. Here is one that happens a few times year in June when the clouds allow...

The sunset through the Saharan Dust. 8:20 and 8:21 PM well before sunset, showing the dust:

8:37 and 8:40, with no dust it would be too bright to look at:

8:42 and 8:53 disappointing, very little color:

The beautiful thing about sunsets and clouds is that it is always a once in a lifetime picture that is pretty much impossible to properly capture for later viewing. When watching a sunset, one never knows at what moment, it will be at its grandest.

Take this one, for example.

It was raining, and there was quit the rainbow behind us. We thought for sure the clouds would block the sunset, but we walked to the end of the pier past the lighthouse and just when we thought the sun would drop behind a wall of clouds, the wall broke up right at the opportune time.
