All I know is that we are going the right way.
Sunset is later and later every day.
There is hope yet.
LOL, I'll still wait a tad before going for a swim.

Thought the same thing about it coming up in the morning yesterday when I went to the end of the driveway to pick up the newspaper.

Sure enough, it' raining right now.

Sunsets as such can give one easy peaceful feeling at the end of the day.

The fun just begins after sunset. ;)

No, not that. The other stuff, like make dinner, eat dinner, watch the news, do dishes, vacuum the house, rake the leaves/shovel the snow, go grocery shopping, clean the catboxes, laundry.... don't want to waste daylight doing that stuff.

If I didn't mention it, now have a delivery driver that has the paper at the home between 0600-0730 which I and my father can live with LOL I looked, didn't seem I updated that thread...

Left my house early one morning, saw a guy drop off a paper at my neighbors house before 0700. Sometime later, stopped by to talk when they were on their porch, and found out that I picked up the newspaper at a real bad time because they had the same issue (late, inconsistant deliveries last year). Apparently a new driver came in and has worked wonders. I even gave him a $50 tip at christmas time with a card I've been so impressed with him.

Ours has consistently been in the box every morning around 5:00am for about 6 months now.

Sunset, has always has been my favourite time of day. Often do a driveabout in my quiet E-Gator.

Gorgeous sunrise! I can never remember that quote about the sunsets and rain... pertaining to sailors....

We usually get two sunsets out here in the wide open spaces. One to the west which are sometimes spectacular, but another, far more subdued, to the east... you can actually see the darkness approaching... weird the first time one sees it ....

You learn something new every day. Here I always though the sun always set in the west:D

FYI Red skys in the morning, sailors take warning.

Not really a “ sunset “ , but a reflection of the western sunset. I think refractions from the real sunset.... kind of upside down sunset... darker on the bottom, colors go up higher.... opposite of the real sunset. Very hard to describe, only lasts about 5-10 minutes. I will try to get a pic if we get a good display this weekend.

Even not this weekend, I'd still be interested to see exactly what you're talking about.

Very seldom do I see the lake that "wind/breeze free". This type of sunset will last up to an hour. I will occasionally get a fiery, orange/red sunrise. That will only last a few minutes. So far, I've not been quick enough to catch the sunrise.

So tonight I was able to get a couple pics of the East sunset , it was actually nicer than the true Western sunset. These are the eastern pics :
