I could live with the yappers, but I thought the camera work during the game was awful..too many switches back and forth and that stupid overhead camera.... /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

I'm a Cowboys fan too, and I liked Aikman when he played, but I think he suffered one to many concussions because his announcing skills are pathetic. Cris Collinsworth isn't much better. There are very few ex-players that make decent announcers. As much as it pains me to say this, Joe Theismann does a good job as well as Daryl Johnston.
I have came to the conclusion that there is way too much corporate money in sports today. I have lost all respect for the NFL, NBA & NASCAR. The only sport that I can admire is the WWE (wrestling) because at least they admit everything is fixed. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Just my opinion.

Couldn't get the game to come in on our TV but glad the Pats won. I've been a Pat's fan since Steve Grogan was a rookie out of Kansas.(long time ago.) We did watch Campfire Cafe on RFD though. Boy can that guy cook with Dutch Ovens and is he sure fun to watch. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif The boys were insisiting it was time to get a dutch oven especially for the carmel pineapple dish. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif:

Yeah, I was glad the Pats won. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

And yeah, it was nice to have an enjoyable half time show that you could understand the lyrics of the songs to! /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

But by far, I thought the best part of the entire evening was the opening with the singing of America the Beautiful by Alecia Keyes and the choir from the school for the visually impaired that Ray Charles attended, and then the honoroing of the WWII veterans and the combined choruses of all of the military academies singing the National Anthem!

Boy, if that didn't bring a tear to your eye, I don't know what would. It was just great!

And the best commercial out of all of them was the one that Bud Weiser sponsored that simply showed a busy airport, with everybody stopping what they were doing and applauding some service men and women as they walked through the airport. Maybe it's because I was spit on when I was in the Navy back during Vietnam, but I break up every time I see people acknowledging and honoring our service people.

I think the Superbowl was quite a nice showing this year. My team won! The halftime show was very acceptable... even the pregame show wasn't TOO bad. The commercials were toned down and it made for much better viewing than last year! I didn't think it would be as close as it was... the Eagles put up a good fight. I'm glad to see NE win another... they are by a long shot the best team in the NFL.

I have to agree with you about that commercial....It is how it should be, and most probably, how it should have been for vets returning from S.E. Asia.

I did like the Mustang commercial, made me laugh /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif .

Ohhh yeah... two more things. Anheuser-Busch out-classed everyone with their commercials. They had some supporting the armed forces and several encouraging a designated driver. And as for the announcers... Aikman and Buck are ok... Collinsworth is a joke. I don't know how that guy has hung around as long as he has. We have guys calling high school games better than him.
