But by far, I thought the best part of the entire evening was the opening with the singing of America the Beautiful by Alecia Keyes and the choir from the school for the visually impaired that Ray Charles attended, and then the honoroing of the WWII veterans and the combined choruses of all of the military academies singing the National Anthem!
Boy, if that didn't bring a tear to your eye, I don't know what would. It was just great!
And the best commercial out of all of them was the one that Bud Weiser sponsored that simply showed a busy airport, with everybody stopping what they were doing and applauding some service men and women as they walked through the airport. Maybe it's because I was spit on when I was in the Navy back during Vietnam, but I break up every time I see people acknowledging and honoring our service people.
