supplemental wood heat

b249,

Check out <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.woodstoves.com>http://www.woodstoves.com</A>. They have a
"sale" going on until the end of November. I suspect the
discount will handle the shipping of a 500+ pound stove. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

I don't have on of these soapstone stoves but we are thinking
of putting one in this month. I ordered their video and sales
stuff. I have been reading up on them for years to use their
stoves in the new house but so far we are still in the old
house. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

They have some decent info on setting up the stove,
using/building chimneys, hearths, etc on the website.

Hope this helps,
Dan

i've heated with wood, on and off for 40 years, and i don't think you can beat a good ole warm morning, king, ashley, or even on the cheaper end of the scale of things, wonderwood, wood heating stoves. they use very little wood, and last for years. i have friends that have been using the cheaper model, the wonderwood for close to 30 years, and this not supplemental heat, this is their only heat.
