Very helpful guys. You've taught me more in a day than I could have deciphered from the internet in days of trying and I tried.

Proper dealer prep goes a long way on these tractors, when we first started we did not do much more than assemble and sell,we had alot of warranty and customer complaints. After our first load we started doing a complete fluid flush and replacement ,adjust the clutch, brakes, valves, timing. Our warranty repairs and complaints dropped 85 % or more,

In the last 5-6 years we have repaired many tractors with worn out clutchs, hydraulic pumps, ect. that was due mostly to improper assembly and adjustment. Is it worth the dealer prep cost, yes it is.8 out or 10 tractors we recieve have clutchs out of adjustment,a premature clutch failure can cost $ 600-1,200.00 to replace depending if the customer does it or a repair shop does it.It should give the possible chinese tractor buyer some food for thought.

#1; Is paying a surcharge to a brick and mortar dealer, to prep a Jimna/Foton torquing everything, fitting, changing all fluids, and so forth worthwhile and preferred?

#2; Or does one just go for the absolute lowest price at a Rural King type seller and doing these tasks yourself?

#3; Thoughts and perspectives appreciated. The difference in price appears to be substantial. How does someone, how did you weigh this out?

This is my take / opinion.

#1; No doubt the Jinma tractors need a good prep / service before they are put to work. What kind or to what depth of prep do they need depends on who you ask. I service/repair a fair amount Jinma tractors that I did not sell. Some were crate purchases and some were not. Most, not all of the problems could have been prevented if it were set up properly from the get go. The better preps come from sellers that have a true tractor repair shop and know tractors. I think the biggest challenge for the consumer purchasing a stated preped and serviced tractor is ...... was it even done and what was done. I have heard more than one time standing in my shop and more over the phone from owners saying my dealer said he did that when seeking help.

#2; Purchasing at the lowest price is the American way...... me to. If you know tractors you can save some $$$$$$$$ . No time wasted trying to get technical info from the person you purchased from or trying to decide who or what to belive from what you read from these tractor fourms. Everyone values there time differently.

#3; Good question. For me when I am shopping ..... it does not take me long to find out what they are selling...... the lowest price or a price with service. Service always comes with a cost. I could give you a tractor but, if it does not perform, can't get parts, can't get good technical assitance etc ..... I don't think it would be worth much.

Here is a idea of some of the things we do; Jinma Dealer, Wood Chipper , Compact Jinma Tractors
