Switching between snow blower and FEL

The attachment issue was the reason i had to spend the extra $$$ for the loader mounted front snowblower. I want to be able to quickly swap between the loader, snow blade and blower without the hassle of the frame mount structure. they need a nice tractor that has front and rear loader with swivel seat so you can have different implement on each end hehe:D

And you have a GREAT setup!!
But most of us don't have that $10K to $15K to spend on such a nice blower! Of course, we rarely see the snow you get in ID either...

Short of taking beenthere's advice;), I usually just wait for one of those days during the winter when it's relatively warm and go to it. The only reason for this is having to get down on the cold barn floor to manage the PTO shaft. Thats the only part I really hate.

.. As if I have something to complain about...

Well i didn't want to spend that much on it either, but my neck is so messed up from 14 years of looking backwards for hours at a time moving snow, that i couldn't physically take another winter doing it. I really wanted a frame mount front blower, but the logistics of the install and removal were a bit much. I believe there stronger blowers then the hydraulic units though.

I like that Erskine front blower that's driven by the rear PTO...still losing the loader though but what I've read, it's an easier change over then the mid-PTO driven blowers. Price is a bit less then you paid...but just a bit less.
All academic for me...I don't have enough drive way to justify a blower although I did look at a 60" 3PH model last year (good price on Craigslist).

hehe. i dream of not having enough driveway to need a blower  This photo is old, but shows most of the roads. It doesnt show the path to the arena or the arena that needs plowing or the 400 feet of driveway to the house. It also doesnt show the carriage barn that has a 300 foot drivewy to approach it. Im a driveway nutcase i guess.

I dream about having more of a drive!!
Guess we ought to split the difference!

I'd love to get a front mounted snow blower for my 955, but I too do not have enough driveway to justify it. I do have a 49" front mount thrower for my 322 that I picked up for $100. That has proven to be sufficient for the 150' or so of driveway that I do clear.

I don't know about the 2520, but on my 4110 I can take the loader off and have the blower on in less than ten minutes--NO TOOLS NEEDED!!

Pipestone kid
That is about what it takes me to change between my front plow and the FEL, give or take 5 min. The longest time involves routing the hyd. hoses and connecting/disconnecting them. True that the PTO shaft takes another 5 min (at least that is the case for my X485 and the broom). I'm thinking we can get spoiled real quick with our toys in this "instant" life. :D

I have the 59" front blower for my 3320. It works fine. I just put on chains today, last winter I got suck a couple of times and had to use the Back Hoe to pull the tractor out. I'm going to see how long I can go with the chains and the 73" bucket this year before I put on the blower. We're supposed to get several inches tomorrow but it may not happen. That should be a good test.
Came to fast this year, I was really enjoying the long fall. Well the garden is plowed under and ready for spring.
The chains were a little bit of a pain to put on but last year I was basically steering the blower with the brakes. I left the BH on so the front was probably a little light but you can't put on front weights with the front blower.
Personally I don't think the broom will work very well, especially in wet snow. I had the 47" blower on my 2720 and it was a very good combo, hard to beat, in fact, nicer than the 3320 and the 59" blower in my view.

GRS, nice layout!
