Oil & Fuel Synthetic oil

I am switching to synthetisc oil at the end of the season and came across Amsoil 4 stroke small engine oil. Sounds like a good choice for the hot running Kohler engines.

Supposedly outdoor power equipment oil is designed to shear (thin out) less than an equivalent viscosity range automotive oil. This would all depend on the specific application though. Amsoil is one of the best oils money could buy. I used it years ago. For a cheaper alternative for your OPE, buy a HD or diesel rated motor oil.
