Comparison T330 vs. LT353 & Ml111 Front loader controls

Since you're having so much troubles with that valve, you can replace the entire valve with a new one from Surplus Center or any other supplier and be good to go. It wouldn't have the cables as the joystick is mounted directly to the valve body.

A 10 GPM one is what you want. Anything bigger, will make feathering really difficult.

I have a T330HST and want to switch over from the cable valve to the one you have linked.

Do you mount it in the same location as the current joystick, or do you need to do any special fabrication to make it ergonomic? I think the lines going to my FEL are long enough to bring the valve back to where my joystick is now.

Problem is, like many others have encountered, the plastic ball ends on the cable joystick have broken off. For the price of new cables, it seems worth it to spend a bit more and replace the whole valve unit with a monoblock unit with the joystick mounted to the valve.

Thanks for any info you can share!

Welcome to TBN.

You can mount it either on the fender or on the loader it self. Both mounting solutions will need some simple fabrication of a bracket to attach the valve to.

The problem with mounting the valve on the fender, at least for me, is that you will then have 7 lines running right besides your leg, which can get in the way or blocking the access through the right side of the tractor. Also, I'm pretty sure you need to extend the lines. The slack they have right now, is there to allow some room when removing the loader.

Mounting on the on the loader, you might not even need to extend any lines. You'll need to play with the position of the valve, till find some a spot that works nicely for you.

Thanks ptsg!

I have been meaning to join for a while, I have been a lurker :)

One more question for you. My T330 seems to have a max flow of just shy of 10gpm. I have found a valve that is 11gpm, would that 1 gpm difference be an issue other than a slight sensitivity on the feel of the joystick?

Thanks again!

I think you will still be fine with a 11 GPM valve but keep in mind that the 10 GPM listed on specs, at least on Tractordata, combines both steering and main pump flows. Technically, you have 6.3 GPM for the main pump and around 4 GPM for the steering, both systems work independent of each other. They just share the tank and the fluid.

That makes sense. So would going for an 8 GPM valve make more sense? Sorry I dont mean to thread jack.

Yes a 8 GPM would be a better match. It's still under the same subject, it's fine.

Maube I missed it in one of the answers but the LT353 loader does have the float function, at least mine does.

Re: T330 vs. LT353 & Ml111 Front loader controls

Please let me know if I should start my own thread but I thought this would be a good place to keep posting.

So I was able to swap out the old broken control valve with a new unit. Installation went pretty smoothly, hardest part was retrofitting the new location.

I followed the same hose configuration from the old valve, but the problem I am having now is that the float function is on the lift ( pulling towards me) instead of the drop ( pushing away from me) Not too big of a deal as it still works fine. But this has me thinking that perhaps I swapped something or it is not hooked up correctly? It is strange as otherwise I would have to have all of the hydraulic lines facing towards me if I was to switch the valve around, that doesn't seem right either.

The other issue which also seems to show that something isn't hooked up right is that the rear 3PH only lifts when I activate the hydraulics via the joystick. i.e. if I raise the 3PH it will do nothing but as soon as I do anything with the joystick the 3PH will then start to raise for as long as I have the joystick activated.

I am thinking my power beyond plug may be in the wrong location? I am pretty sure I followed the instructions and it also seemed to match how the old valve was configured, but something doesn't seem right. Otherwise the new valve works great, way more control, no slop in the action of the joystick and just overall a better setup.

Any thoughts? Thanks all!

The pictures are not working for some reason.

To fix the float position, you'll need to take the joystick assembly and basically flip it around. The valve manufacturer should have some diagrams to correct that I believe. You may want to get the float correct because it can be dangerous if you would inadvertently put it in float while lifting an heavy load or if you have helpers around the loader. It would drop instantaneously.

Regarding the 3 pt, did you bought the correct power beyond plug for the valve? If yes, make sure it's installed on the port which can be marked with: C, PB or N. And also check if the lines are correctly connected, ie: PB line swapped with Tank line or something.

Good point about the safety concern. I did notice that when it does go into float it doesn't just free fall but gently "sinks" down the the ground. You are right though, there is a safety issue there.

The frustrating part is that the it is not easy for me to just switch the valve around. All the ports are facing away from me right now, If I was to switch it around I would have to completely undo the way I have it rigged up and figure out some other way of having it situated. Not ideal to say the least.

For the power beyond plug, I did by the plug when I bought the valve and it appears to be correct. It is in the N spot, per the instructions on the website. Obviously I have something wrong though, So I may try to swap things around a bit.

Lets try this for photos. I used the app on my phone maybe thats why it didnt work before...
