I just was able to try out both the TYM T451(46HP) and the T603 (59HP)cab tractors.I am a dealer, so you can take my opinions for what you think they're worth.(I also handle several other brands---so I am actually comparing just as a retail buyer would.) Hope I don't get slammed for solicitation.I just thought there might be some interest in my initial opinions?
1) Overall fit and finish is top quality and the compact cabs are layed out well and comfotable--seat is OK ,but should be cloth instead of vinyl. Controls are user friendly, and easy to operate. Both come with the joystick already mounted in the cab for loaders.
2) The engine on the 451 is a 4 cylinder Kubota that sounds great, but is louder than the 4 cylinder CAT engine in the 603.Both are very responsive and smooth running--the Catepillar being a whole lot quieter.
3) Handling on the road and on slopes is similar in both---the short wheelbase makes for a rougher ride off the road, but the turning radiuses are phenominal---really tight (short).
4)The loaders were not yet on these two, but I know they are top of the line. We have sold them for years on the Century and Zetor tractors. They are the Humpolec Traclift C series made in Czech Republic.
5) There are a lot of extras included on these tractors as standard equipment ,that cost extra on others---like three sets of hydraulic remote outlets, as well as already being set up with the loader valve and joystick control on the tractor, good radio and A/C, tilt steering wheel, and five year warranty. All they need to top them off is the 0% for 60 month financing like on the T233,T273, and T700.

Overall, I think these two tractors models are a great value for anyone looking for smaller cab tractors in this horsepower range. If I felt otherwise, I would send them back---dealers have options too /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Thanks Maka,
Yes, this is a real good looking tractor, and just the right size for my area.

onegreenday,
Prices will vary in different areas of the country, and from dealer to dealer, but I can say that they will be considerably less than an "equivilant" NH, Deere, or 'Bota and will have more standard features.
Call,or come test drive one and we can get more specific on price.

I agree, the 2006 T450 I just bought is a great tractor. Works very well, excellent design and value for the money. The diesel generates 81 db at 3', pretty quiet for a tractor. The T200 loader is excellent as well.

The 451 is the same tractor with a slightly different floorpan, to accomodate the glass, a/c and radio/cassette mounted up top, other than minor wiring changes its the same tractor.

Design, fit and finish are top notch even compared to John Deer for thousands less.

TYM's only problem is not enough people know about them, those who test drvie them, buy em. Plus best warranty in the business.

Just bought a 603 but haven't used it enough yet to know much about it. have logged about 6 hrs so far but have about a mile of driveway to grade tomorrow if the frost comes out after lunch. that should add a couple of hours and hopefully will work it some. fuel consumption seem good so far but will have a more accurate view tomorrow. 3pt. lifts more than advertised, before i bought it we hooked a great plains 6ft. notill drill along with some extra weight, just above idle and it easily lifted it. tires definetly need weight added, will be adding rimguard shortly.
can't complain about anything yet, still not sure if the fan blower puts out enough air, will know after it snows and use the snowblower, sure blows out hot air though. I really like the cab layout except for the tach speedometer, that's really a screwy way to do it as far as i'm concerned. i'm always looking at the speedo side instead of the tack. guess i'll get used to it someday. It came with a nice panasonic radio, nice speakers. The seat so far is very comfortable, and the doors are easy to get in and out of. Haven't figured out where to mount a tool box yet. The cab is very quiet.
This winter it will have a 74" buhler 3pt. snowblower on it. will use it commercialy if we get any snow. Rest of the year it will have a 6.5' disk and harrow, probably a 6' no till drill, and mainly be used with a 7' rotary cutter.
Compaired it to a jd4520 cab, kubota 6040cab and a montana 5740cab. I really felt it was as good or maybe even better than the others, time will tell.
enough ramblin, Ron in sw.mt.
almost forgot about the 6' fhm grader that i pull for driveways.

My 603 has really tested my patients [sp], sence I do tractor work full time. It decides not to run the pto every once in a while. We and the dealer have tried several things and it still likes to not work. But that is not my main problem. The fins are so closed together on the radiator and ac condensor that the thing over heats every day unless you blow it out daily. I have over 40 years of working around tractors [www.lantermantractor] and never had this kind of problem. My Massey 563 has never been cleaned out at the radiator and it is one year older than this 2007 TYM. What am I going to do? They replaced the radiator once and said it was an upgraded one. Same problem next day. What were they thinking? "stay out of dirty places?"

Maybe a forward pushing fan?

Update......TYM upgraded the wiring harness as a factory defect which was the PTO problem. They took care of it at the dealership, along with a new clutch , pressure plate, ect, that took care of the shaking when the clutch was relesed. It now has a bad oil leak and bad squeak in the cab that is LOUD! I did put an Ebay purchesed, 12v. fan in reverse polarity that made it draw air with the factory installed fan. So far it has not really helped cause you still have to clean the radiator vents daily [cause they are so close together]. Grass is normal to clean out on any tractor, but dirt gets in between the fins like crazy. Auto rads are not tractor rads.
What a diappointment this tractor has been. The local dealer has been good but is backed up with other work when I take it in, and I need it often as you can tell from Lanterman Tractor.
Positive note; it was great during the snow removal. We cleared lots of snow with it with no overheating at all!!!!!!
