I spoke with a dealer that sells both tym and LS he told me they have exchanged tym for la die to poor performance at elevation due to the dpf vs the regen the LS has.
He told me he will sell me either but strongly recommended the LS over the tym for that reason alone and the mechanical fuel rail I think he mentioned as well saying the LS has a more advanced fuel system.
Direct injection maybe?
MAHINDRA has neither dpf or regen, as I understand it
Maybe I should concentrate on a MAHINDRA also having dealer close by.

sounds like you're doing the homework. wise to post here, & take your time to make the best informed purchase decision. so easy to get caught up into the buying frenzy & making a hasty decision you may regret.

The Branson is older; any DPF it has is probably essentially optional in that it can likely be removed without concerning likely almost non-existent electronics -- if you're interested in that, I'd look into it further. That said, I enjoy the fact that my tractor (DPF) doesn't stink...

OP: i recommend you post this thread in the LS forum if you're considering that make.

TYM (Kukje engines) are more reliable because of the mechanical injected feature, I see all too many issues with regen on LS engines. They sell the 5520 and 574 with 55Hp on turbos. VERY reliable engines.

I’m glad to hear that. Ive been looking at those 2 models and a few MAHINDRA the most

I've had good service from my Branson but the parts situation is not great, and mine's more common than the xx30 series. They didn't sell many of those.

I think most of the LSes have turbos, which will help at altitude.

Bransons use mechanical injection while just about everyone else uses common rail EFI.

Mahindra has a DOC and common rail EFI. I was considering one when I bought my Branson but the dealer said that they had needed a number of ECU reflashes, and the tractors had to come back to the dealer for that. With the dealer being 3 hours away that disqualified them for me. I thought the Bransons had better build quality as well. This was before TYM bought Branson's parent company and folded the line into theirs. It may have changed.

I spent the morning talking to a dealer in Oklahoma about the TYM 574HC
He’s got a great price on it delivered to me with 3rd function installed and still $1k cheaper than dealer 3 hours from me. Not sure how that’s possible maybe volume?

Better hope you learn your own tractor to know since you're 3 hours away from a dealer anyway. Enjoy the good price and learn all about it. I service my own T474 even tho I only live 20 minutes from my dealer. I've never needed them for warranty work.
