I wonder if you put a wedge or chock behind the tires if that would help slippage....

I don't know. They say their stronger than cables, but I kind of wonder if that rivet through the middle joint really is.

Good point - don't really know - never bothered to buy a set. Although I've had cables break on me - it has always been on older pick-ups for which I didn't care much about scratching/denting the bumper or tailgate.

BTW - I have never been surprised at breaking a tailgate cable (mildly annoyed - but never surprised). Before breaking there would always be a "warning period" where I would noticed the rust/frayed cable but never get around to doing any thing about it. I've also never had a new/unfrayed cable break due to load.

Still didn't get around to installing them yesterday. We had company that took up the whole day but I will get around to it by this weekend and take a picture if I get the PT loaded. Here are the ramps again if anyone else likes the setup. They make several other types also.
