I was wondering what I was missing as I thought it was transparent between the two but one can always learn.

We just buy the cheap converters. They do go bad from time to time.

A cheap converter is fine for a small utility trailer with just a pair of taillights, license plate light and side marker lights. More elaborate lighting may need a converter with a direct 12 volt line from the battery. As for LED lights, they should be no problem because they use less power than incandescent bulbs.

looks like I am going to order a few. one to go on van and few more for backup. I hate not having anything not ready to go at moment's notice.

Maybe the tractor is pulling the trailer with the Kia on it? :laughing:
