I am leaning towards purchasing B2910 and a mmm. Does anybody have this particular situation. I seem to take my mmm on and off alot. Can anybody share how easy or hard and about how long it takes to change it out. If anyone wants to describe the operation I sure would appreciate it . Thanks for the input.

flemdog,Is the MMM a 60" or a 72" ? It makes a difference.I would highly reccommend the 72" /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif It does a great job of mowing and is the easiest to remove..

I have the B7800, same as the 2910 with the MMM. First I love the MMM over the RFM, where I know some like the RFM better. Putting the mower on is a 3-5 minute job. I would go with the 72". It is a drive over model, where I don't think the 60" is. To put on is very easy you just drive over it. Then connect it in three points plus the pto. I put blocks in front of the wheels to keep the mower from moving while I am driving over. I put my own and take it off every week or two to cut the grass. Another thing leave your three point hitch up when driving over, that way it is easier to lower it after you have driven over.

We had a B2710/72" MMM.I would also drive over the deck to mount or dismount. One step I always took was to raise all the gauge wheels on the deck all the way up,this would put the deck almost on the ground...and I would always do this on the turf...you can spring the deck if you don't block under the edge or raise the gauge wheels.

The gauge wheels swivel a full 360, so removing the deck on a concrete floor is also very easy, might have to turn the front tires on the tractor to roll the deck out from underneath...

the 72" is much easier to take off then the 60". plus the 72" sticks out further and mows a tighter circle. if you have alot of trees to work around the MMM works great.

I've got a 2910 and the 72 mmm and it works great. Taking it off/on takes me about 5 minutes, maybe 10 if I"m taking it easy. I've been using a couple of 4x6's cut like a car ramp, and I just drive the front wheels up on them, disconnect, and roll it out from under. I do remove the bars from the MMM to the front rack to do this and I don't know if there's an easier way or not. I suspect with the FEL on I could lift the wheels and that bar assembly would roll underneath. (I've done the drive on/off once and it just makes me nervous that I'm going to screw up a 3k deck. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif ) You do need little wedges to lock the wheels in place though or you'll just chase it all around the garage. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Good luck!

Regards,
Dave

PS - I put mine on for each mowing session and take it off for inbetween when I'm FEL'ing and Brush hogging. In the spring when I have to mow twice a week I probably won't do it, but my grass is almost dormant now.
