Makes me wonder whether that's true of the breeds in general or just true for some individuals of that breed because I had a neighbor who tried a couple of Charolais bulls and said "never again" because they were just too mean to try to handle and/or keep fenced in.

Thanks for the link. There may be some confusion here or maybe not. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif I started this thread out with a Tankless water heater. It's for my house. I use the name Charolais and then got a question about the cattle. So we have two different subjects going on here. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Which is fine by me. I've bought from Nasco before too. They do have a good line of products.

Hi Bird. There's good and bad in any breed. I have bulls that you can walk out in the pasture and pour for flys or deworm. Call them and they come a running. Load them in the trailer out in the pasture. Again we have worked hard in this part of the country to improve the Charolais breed.

'I'm not sure if it is as efficient as an electric hot water heater or not."

I'd think that it would be more efficient in home (occasional) use and less so in commercial (relatively continuous) use such as a laundry or car wash. I have nothing factual on which to base this. It just seems logical to me.

My opinion on the tankless water heaters is as follows.

Advantages: more efficient, space saving, hot water quicker since the unit us under the sink, so less water wasted waiting on it to come out hot.

Disadvantages: Costs more initially, If power goes off, no hot water immediately vs having a tank of hot water there for a while. More wiring and related costs.

I do not know how the live spans of the tankless ones compare to the tank types.
