You don't need to run at max power for 8 hrs and you'll never break it in at idle! Just use good sense . Try to vary the speed and load across the power range. Go mow on the flat for awhile, then do some hillsides, etc.

Jerry is correct, the key to properly breaking in an engine is variety. Fast, slow, start, stop... anything but idle.

This is basically what I have and ok good that's what iv done all speeds of work with plow bush hog and box blade now the hydraulics are stuck all the way up ;(
