TBN age old question

After some of the huge logs I've pulled with my CK20, a 40/45HP tractor would make them seem like toothpicks. You'll be very surprised how much "grunt" you'll have.

For what it is worth, my Kubota has a monster size dent in the metal hood but my New Holland's plastic hood and plastic fenders have only a few scratches from where branches have smacked the New Holland. I would not be afraid of the plastic used on the Case, Deere or New Holland tractors at all. In fact, I've become a big believer in the plastic hoods and fenders.

I've seen some people say that the plastic would be hard to fix if it broke, but honestly my experience says it is pretty impact resistant, while the dent in the B2910 hood will cost me $400 to fix (dealer estimate from 2 years ago, I didn't repair it and now live with an ugly dent).

Thanks for the info and reassurances. I Have only had experience with 50's and 60's era tractors and mostly in hay fields. I see now that my larger problem isn't deciding what HP, brand, or implement choice but that you have to go on the lots and get a feel for these modern machines. The information I've gleaned from TBN over the past year or so has been invaluable .
