Due to the recent volume of users and visitors of TBN, more and more posts are not meeting the high standards as set in the past for TBN. We need to get back to the basics of why we all came here to begin with… Tractors and related subjects…Period.. TractorByNet is a multi-cultural community with members of all religions, races, political parties and world-wide boundaries. With all those differences… we have one common denominator…Love of Tractors…

History has shown every time we introduce politics or religion into the mix… we tend to drift away and start having problems. For the benefit of all, if you must… privately email those concerns to the other party… bite your tongue if you have a short fuse… and being mean-spirited doesn’t belong here or anywhere…, if something is out-of-line and not to your liking and you have a “beef”… use the private email… not this public forum.

TBN is our gracious host… we are only guests during our stay here, please… let’s respect our hosts’ wishes and rules of conduct…

Please… take a moment and review the below guidelines…

JM III,
I agree. There have been quite a few times I felt a word was sent my way, just to see if I would get "up in arms". I'm better than that. Amazing what a litte age does to ya.
I want people to respect me for what I am, if you don't agree with me, you may say so, but I refuse to agrue it with you.

I agree with you, but don't know what posts you are referring to in your message. Can you give us a clue so we can all learn if it is us, or if not, what we should avoid? Maybe you would just identify or refer to a thread that includes some obtrusive or 'unsportsmanlike' responses.

I would think all of us would like to know.

Thanks for caring. This is a great site, and I want to see its standards kept high.

JMIII;

Well said. It seems religon and politics are not as easily communicated when you have to type your responses. They are best discussed face to face so the indivual parties can enjoy the body language and spoken inflections. IMHO. Maybe we should save it for the annual TBN Religion and Politics Convention later on this year in New York City!/w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif

I would love to direct you to those threads... but they don't exist anymore... that's the problem...

They started off on an even keel and turned into a "tit for a tat"...

Hopefully, we can prevent that on future threads and still have fun and still have the full respect for one another...

Toss in gun control and pig farms, and this convention will need security worthy of a G-8 Summit meeting!/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

There was a thread that started out debating the merits/risks of buying a tractor made in a certain country. The thread degraded into a geopolitical discussion.

Thanks Mike
I didn't read a thread like that, but think I remember the possible subject line.

I'm a little slow, but would the real John Miller please stand up. JohnMiller3 started this thread but John Miller,III takes up the discussion in mid sentence. Is this like Clark Kent and Superman's alter egos where Clark removes his glasses and becomes Superman and no one is the wiser. Both John Millers are very intelligent people and I read what they print with interest. I am curious, if they are one and the same, then why the ruse? I agree with your point that this should not become a political forum and should remain a site the whole family can enjoy. I think you moderators do a very good job of keeping this site clean. The problem you face is formidable as your membership is composed of members of the human race. I have dealt with mans atrocities to man and could never figure out what makes them tick. I know my response was unsolicited but I wanted to tell you,"good job"! Also no insult or slight to either John Miller, but you sure are messing with my feeble mind!

...I am curious, if they are one and the same...

Yes, they are both the same... to the best of my knowledge.../w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Neither is a Superman... but at times my kids sure think so... but then again, I still think my Father is Superman... and he really is... /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

... I think you moderators do a very good job of keeping this site clean...

If us, as users, visitors, and guests do our job even better... then we will have no need for moderators... and with self-policing and especially more self restraint... it's certainly a goal that's obtainable and within our reach... /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
