Ouch!! So that's where he is.

I've been mulling over having back surgery for a disc problem for several years now, but a fall from a roof--urgh..., that takes the decision out of the picture don't it? Thanks for filling us in David, Robert will be in my prayers.

I've got to get up on my roof soon to clean my chimney, as I get older I look forward to it less. Maybe I'll wait for my son to come by and let him take his 22 year old butt up there and do it for me...

I guess many of us noticed that he hadn't been doing any posting lately. He was well informed and gave good advice. Hope he has a quick recovery.

I hope he gets access to a computer and the internet. The supportive comments I received from the readership and TBN's general activity was essential in helping me during my recent recuperation.

I would imagine that road to recovery is going to be a long hard uphill battle. Just the laying in bed 24/7 will be enough to drive a sane person half crazy, and I sure it would drive me the rest of the way crazy. Hopefully he will get to a point soon where he knows he is going to prevail. Keep him and his family in all of your prayers.

hank you very much for letting us know. eventually robert will be back on the internet and hopefully our best wishes to him for a speedy recovery will brighten his day. See Robert when you are gone for a bit we notice! Get back on your feet soon. Well don't force it or anything so what the doctors tell you and get back in the saddle, ut maybe leave the roof work for someone else.

I'll echo almost all of the sentiments expressed so far. Let's all send Robert all the positive energy we have so his recovery is short & uneventful.

One sentiment I won't go along with is the "stay off the roof" idea (sorry rox...) Once you're all recovered, Robert, look carefully over the incident and go back to your normal activities. Just do things a little safer.

In the meantime, don't be afraid to look like an invalid. Until your back fully recovers, you ARE one. Macho will get you nothing worthwhile. I've had two vertebrae fractured (at different times) and did the macho thing a few months after the second one. I spent an extra 3 months on the disabled list and still have issues. Staying down when the doctors say so is a VERY good idea.
