Too bad it would logistically take a while to get around.. but it would be neat to start a card daisy chain.. that is.. buy a card, sign it and send it to another member, who signs it, and sends it to another memer.. etc.

As big as this community is, and as many people that know rob.. it might not be feasable for one card to make the circuit.

perhaps a card started in each time zone? or? geographical region.. or?

Any other ideas. If we do a card, I volunteer to go buy it tomorrow am and drop it int he mail to the next member who wants to be in the chain?

Since this is sort of your idea, I could mail the card to you and then you could pass it to the next?

If anyone has any beter ideas.. post em!

Maybe I missed this in an earlier post but does anyone have his address so we can send him cards? His name is in his profile but not his address.

Hi guys. First off I want to thank everyone for thier support. Your post meant a lot to me. While I was in the hospital I could read your post via my cell phone but couldn't reply. It was one of the few bright spots I had to look forward to as I was there.

So here is what happened, I finally made a mistake while working on a roof. We had brackets on the side I was working on but I was pushing things and was removing the ridge. I ended up slipping and fell over the ridge to the side where there were no brackets. The actual fall was 22' and I landed on my meet which ended up fracturing one of my vetebre (sp?). I was always able to move my arms and legs but my pelvis is partially paralyzed right now but should heal in time. I ended up going the surgery route since there was a very good chance of serious nerve damage if I left my bone to heal by itself. So the doctors removed the vertebre and two disc and fused the area together. So after the surgery I had to wait for my vest to be made and I was able to start walking again a week after I feel. If I didn't go with the surgery I would only now be allowed to try and walk. I don't have a lot of pain either and hopefully it will stay that way if not get better. But I really can not complain.

I am not allowed to work for 3-6 months depending on how I recover and this is going to be difficult as I am use to always doing something around the farm if I wasn't working. Now all I can do is sit around or go for a walk. I plan to walk as much as possible until the snow comes but then I am stuck inside all winter as I am not strong enough to walk in snow or mud now and am afraid of slipping.

On the bright side I will have plenty of time to spend with my daughter now even though I can't play with her like before I can still color and read with her. I will also have more time to be on TBN with all my friends.

I have not had a chance to read any post or private messages yet but wanted to take the time while I had it to thank all of you for your support. It really did mean a lot to me. Thanks guys.

Great to hear from you. We !hate! to see member names in the safety section with the words 'serious injury' printed beside them.

Robert,

Thanks for posting and letting us know how you are doing. I'm very happy to hear that you are on the road to recovery and in time, should be as good as new!!! That's wonderful news.
