Good! I really don't care where it is - but I was pretty sure that I was half crazy when I went back and it wasn't...

In a word, flailmower. It doesn't really remove them but what left is to small to worry about.

John Deere 455 with an MC-519 collection system. Pick-em up, move-em off and dump-em. Works good. Ted

I just posted some pictures over in the Power Trac forum related to this. I used my small hand-held leaf blower to windrow the leaves and then used the FEL to push down the length of the windrow to the pile. Click here to see the pictures, I think there are four of them

We use a lawn sweeper. Four Maples, two box elders, and plenty of ash along the west fence line. Get the widest you can. Makes for a lot of trips, but, heck, seat time is seat time!!!!! And it does look great when it's done!

Last weekend I built the large plywood box for my FEL for my BX2200, 4' x 4' x 2' and went to my Dad's house to try it out. He has 28 oak trees in his front yard that are all over 50 years old. I would put the box down low and scoop a few feet and then rake and pack all we could get in. It worked GREAT! After a few hours, it was done, then went to my brothers house next door (he has another 20 or so oak trees), few more hours, done. In all, they say it saved them DAYS of work! Best thing for me, I got to try out and build a new attachment for my tractor, and it cost me nothing.

I use my 448 case with hydo vaccumn. I put 8 cubic yards of leaves on the garden and put 6 cubic yards in gully. I used my backpack blower to blow leaves from around the house and flower beds.

I blow 'em, or pay a crackhead $10 to blow 'em into the back yard and the dogs run through 'em all winter and turn 'em into mulch. You don't see any by springtime. /w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif
