Backhoe TC18 Backhoe?

The New Holland web site shows the TC 18 having a bh as an option, the 756C. Anyone have on of these? Jim, you got one yet?

I'd like to know the specs on it and some tasks performed with it.

I have a 756c backhoe on my TC30, I bought it used as part of a tractor package, It works pretty good, So far I have used it to dig a few trenches with no problem, Also I have cut down about a dozen oak trees and used the backhoe to breakout some of the roots, It does not have ton of breakout force but for my use around my house it is good enough. Here are the specs from the owners manual Digging depth 79",Digging force bucket 2875 lbs,digging force dipperstick 1744 lbs. Like I say it is a good hoe for what I need. What do you plan to use the hoe for?

I plan on doing some of what you described as doing- stump removal. In fact that is THE biggest reason I can come up with to justify a bh. Surely I could find other tasks once I got one.
Truth is, I am stuck between getting something like a BX22 or TC18 to manage the 5.33 acres I live on, or hiring out clearing work and buying a commercial grade ZTR to just cut grass with.

I've got a TC18, but no backhoe. One more option for you to consider is to get the BX2200 or TC18 with FEL, but no hoe. Rent a full size backhoe ($200-$300 per day) For the major work - or hire it out. The FEL is something you'll use over and over again (can't get it on a ZTR).

Economocially it's tough to justify the backhoe especially for one time jobs. If you've got the cash & it would make you happy, by all means get one. If money were no problem, I'd have one!

If you anticipate using it on an ongoing basis, then renting one gets inconvenient.
