Steelfan,
Is your speed an estimate or have they sped them up since I bought my TC18 in June of 1999? My '99 brochure says that the TC18 gear will go up to 9.86 mph, the TC18 hydro (mine) will go 9.95 mph, the TC21 will go 10.0 mph and the TC21D will go 10.55 mph. If they have sped them up, I will stop trying to drag race with other TC18's that I come up against and stick with racing Kubotas! /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif/w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif
I am in the south-central Michigan area and in June of 1999 I paid $9,200 for my Mighty TC18 with folding rops, hydro, FWD, turf tires and NO power steering (the only thing I would change if I could do it over! Although, it steers more easily than the Allis Chalmers 716H garden tractor that it replaced!)
Also in the total deal were a Woods RD6000 60" 3 pt. rear discharge finish mower for $1,300 and a Woods RD60 60" rear blade with horizontal swivel for $240, subtotal = $10,740 + tax $644 + handling/documentation $25 = Total $11,409 delivered and I'm about 40 miles from dealer.
Have since added a "poor mans FEL" aka rear scoop, Woods 48" 3 pt. rotary mower and had my dealer fill my rear tires with Rim Guard (beet juice).
The TC18 is a fine tractor just do your research and the best you can to size your tractor to current and possible future uses.
"Club Blue" is just keeps growing and growing and growing and growing and growing!!!!!!!!!! /w3tcompact/icons/cool.gif
