Legion,
I have a JD 4115 with 12-16.5 R4s. In the summer they are good for what I do, but in the winter on ice they are useless. I looked at all types of chains and prices, and settled on the ladder type from tirechains.com. I had them make me a special set with v-grip cross chains every other link. It rides smooth and has great traction. I had to do some cutting and splicing to make them fit better, but it was no problem. I think I paid a bit over $200 for them, and let me tell you they are heavy duty. I'm not sure how the clearence is on your tractor, but I took mine down the road in high gear with no problem. I'm posting some pics for you to see. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
