JimD,
Since it seems that the new TC24D is shipping and showing up at dealers (haven't been to mine yet, will on Friday) I thought I would email New Holland on specs and other info.
Below is the email I sent with their response. Not as helpful as yours was.
To New Holland Customer Service:
Recently New Holland announced they were introducing the new TC24D which will be replacing the outgoing TC25D. While this is unfortunate as it will leave the TC29D as the entry level Mid Size Framed Compact Tractor you offer.
My question is when will the New Holland website be updated to refference the TC24D. I understand the product has been shipped to dealers (seen it posted on www.tractorbynet.com ) as being available. However my local dealer has neither information nor knowlege of it (yet).
Is there any pricing available, implement information available
and will the TC29D pricing be adjusted to be more between the old TC25D and the current TC29D?
Thank you for your pending information.
Here is what I got back:
Dear Mr. MDNY
Thank you for your interest in our new TC24D. This compact tractor was put on the production line in the Spring of 2002. Detailed information for the TC24D, such as prices and ordering options will be made available to the public towards the end of this year. If you would like a product brochure, please let us know and we will forward one to you.
Any increase or decrease in the manufacturer's suggested retail price of our Boomer Series tractors will be determined in the upcoming year.
Thank you again for considering New Holland North America for your equipment needs. We look forward to servicing you as a Satisfied
Customer.
It seems odd to me that (1) they put it into production in the spring 2002, and it is showing up at dealers and (2) that tech specs and pricing won't be on their website until the end of the year. I mean how can they expect people to know it exists unless they read about it.
Friday when I goto the dealer (getting the truck serviced near them) and I will see if they have anything further. Just seems like a lack of info and real customer service.
