Quick question on a NH TC24DA with L12 FEL. Local dealer in NE Ohio stated take off lot price of 16,400 which seems a high based on information I have read here. I also know that prices vary from region to region.
I am on 6 acres, 3 woods, 2 grass, 1 feedplot/garden. I also have a 500 ft. drive and live in the snowbelt. I am looking for a CUT with a FEL to move alot of dirt, rotary tiller to work the garden, box blade to work the drive and a front blade to push snow. I started looking at Kubotas (7510 then 7610) however, I seem to be migrating to NH. Would like to keep the start up cost under 16.5. Any advice is appreciated.

Welcome to TBN!

That does seem a little high for this area. I don't know where you're at in Northeast Ohio, but I got prices from three different New Holland dealerships in this area when I bought my TC18, and there was $1000 from highest to lowest price.

Northeast Ohio is full of New Holland dealers. There is at least one that I would recommend, and there is another one that at least four members here (including myself) would all tell you to avoid. Shop around and see if you get a better price somewhere else. While you're shopping, check out the New Holland TC30. It has fewer bells and whistles than the TC24, but you get 30 hp instead of 24 hp for roughly the same price (within a few hundred dollars).

Good luck, and report back on your shopping experiences!

I paid $ 15,500 for a TC24DA hydro, w/12LA, and R4 tires about a month ago. I am located in the downstate area of NY where prices are high. Also had a quote from Corriher in NC of $ 15,099. I would shop around and then talk to your local guy.

Fig,

I'm in southern Ohio and facing the same issue. I'm considering the NH TC24DA (Hydro) or JD 4115 both with FEL and rotary brush cutter. Didn't want to spend more than $16,000 (tax included) but the quotes I am getting from a dealer in Wilmington OH on the TC24DA is $18,000 and the local JD dealer is about the same?!?! I've seen posts on this website from guys here in Ohio claiming they purchased a TC24DA with FEL & BH or gads of other attachments for less?!?! Perhaps this 0% interest for 48 months is playing into the dealers lack of "dealing"......I'm now reconsidering the JD 4115 even though they are only offering 0% for 36 months because the dealer is much closer (15 min vs 60 min.)

Can any of you TC24DA owners give me an idea of what is a reasonable price to expect? I have only 1 NH dealer within 1 hours drive. I visited 2 Case dealers in this area and the DX24 (same model as NH TC24DA) with FEL & brush cutter was over $20,000?!?!

Thanks,
Desperate & Confused in SW Ohio for a 24 HP CUT!

$ 15,000 to $ 15,500 seems to be about the going price for a TC24DA with the 12LA FEL. You can always go out of state and have it shipped to you. Sales tax vs shipping would propably be a wash. I got a decent price from ABC Groff in PA but did not pursue when the local dealer came through with a reasonable price.

Seems a little high, but there are other things that can be negotiated if the dealer is willing to play ball, such as free transportation for any warranty work, free 50 hour service, etc. You also mentioned a number of implements, is he willing to cut a deal on a total package? I paid around $15,200 for my TC 24D a year and a half ago which was $500 more than the best price I found - but - I was able to get the transportation and 50 hour service thrown in plus after including all my other implements, the final deal was very competitive. And I really liked the dealer, he has taken care of a few things for me at no charge. Others here will tell you that having a dealer you can count on is a big factor.

You might want to consider a blower (front or rear mount) instead of a front blade if you get a lot of snow, with a rear blade for cleanup. I have a rear mount on mine with hydraulic chute rotator and love it, and I use it on a gravel road. I think you will find that heavy snow will just kick the front of the tractor sideways when the blade is angled since the TC 24 is not a very heavy machine when compared to a full size truck for plowing. Dense snow and ice will kick the rear of mine sideways with the rear blade angled sharply, and that is with chains and loaded tires! A blower just chews it up and spits it out, clean and simple with no need to keep the banks pushed back for the next storm.
I like having the blower on the back with the FEL still on for other uses.

Just some thoughts based on my experience to confuse you more /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif Good luck on your decision. I absolutely love my TC 24, it continues to amaze me with a lot of power in a small package.

The 16,400 is definitely high for a TC24DA with 12LA FEL. I should also say that the dealer wanted to charge an additional 100 for the R4 tires vs. turf that was on the unit. Just finished my visit with a second dealer who offered the same package for 15,500, with the wanted R4's.
I also received a price on the TC30, which was only around 600 more with the loader. Looks tempting, will have to do more research. Any input on the advantages/disadvantages of the TC24 vs. the TC30 would be appreciated.
Finally, thanks everyone for your input, this site is definiting kick *** for providing input and helping my in my decisions. Will be testing some CUT this weekend and will let everyone know how it is going. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Since I have a TC18, my price doesn't mean diddly to you two guys, but I had a choice of tires, Ag's, Turfs, Ind's no extra charge for whatever I wanted.

Same here. In fact, my turfs came loaded with CaCl at no extra charge since the dealer had to locate them from another dealer, but since I "knew" that I didn't want loaded tires for fear of sinking into my soft yard, he found yet another set. Two weeks later I was paying him $100 for tubes and loading them with washer fluid as the 12LA FEL is far too powerful to use safely without rear ballast, lots of it!

I now mow with it, and with the big turf tires and the FEL removed, the TC 24 leaves much less of a mark on the soft stuff than my 12hp riding Gravely.

Purchase my TC24DA with FEL, 5-10 for 15,080 with r4 and filled rear tires. Dealer started at 16,500 and we just aggravated each other (got to know well) for over a month. I think he got tired of me spending my entire lunch walking over his place and answering my questions. Free financing sealed the deal and he included all the attachments even though only tractor, loader and mower were NH. Also purchased a 50" tiller, 12" auger, rb blade (boy do I need lessons) and 60" mmm w/rd.
