Since I bought this tractor I have hated where the exhaust exits. At the stock location it blew soot and fumes all over the loader bucket and arms and then ended back into my face. Then I had it changed to where it ran out the side under the loader sub-frame. I thought that would fix the problem but instead it blew crap all over the stuff sitting on the exhaust side of the tractor.

So.............since tree branches are not a problem, I had the welder friend of mine fab up the vertical exhaust you see here. Everything is solid and I ran the tractor a little while ago pulling logs to the splitter pile and I am very happy with this set up. I also looks more tractor-like.

Last one. If anyone is interested, PM me and I can give you the welders info. He has welded for years at Central Ohio Coal Co. on the Big Muskie.

Very nice looking modification. I admit, I would like the exaust on mine to go up like that, but I probably won't make the effort to change it. I'll just whine about it instead.

Looks great, he did a very nice job... Now you have some work to do. Take that "Bad Boy" off and get it chromed, that would look SHARP! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Nice since you don't have trees to worry about because that would be a tree magnet. Did you ever consider the tail pipe route. I have to admit that would make since but I'll also admit I don't think tractors should have a tail pipe. Brother in law has an L175 with the tail pipe, noise, smoke all under and behind which is good...but it's a tail pipe!!

Nice mod.

That's cool very well done just need to add a shield to protect you from getting burned and it would add to the appearance. Great job.
