Thanks for help miserblOF. Funny how these tractor purchases go. Like a few here, I started with a scut, then thinking 7610, then switched to blue 26, then 29. I'm happy with this model and have this forum to thank for much help. I thought about the bigger engine but I believe the 29 should get the job done. It will need to power a chipper, tiller, RFM, few other things, but all in all it will have an easy life. Saving good amount of money as well.

Pardon me, but I think you'd be nuts to get a TC29 for 3 acres. The 26 is a much better fit for the property size. In the long run I think you'd live to regret a larger machine. JMO

Bob-you could be right, and if that's the case then I'll sell the bigger machine and get a smaller one. Fact is, I have probably a year of fairly heavy landscape construction that the larger machine will be better suited to accomplish. Its not easy trying to pick the perfect machine but at least I'll have a lot of fun on my new 29.

Tractordale your welcome your really like what you are getting. But just to correct something that one of the post stated the 29 and 33 horse are 3 speed hydro's not two. Also you need not worry about the weight. I have been asked many times what I cut with as it rivils a zero turn. Congradulations now go have fun (work I mean)

Hi, I think it was my post that mentioned the 3 speed vs. 2 speed. Maybe I didn't put it clearly enough, but yes, the 29..34 machines all have 3 speed hydro and the 26 has a two speed. That's one of the advantages of the larger framed tractor, something that didn't seem a big deal to me, but from what I've read, people who go from a 2 speed to 3 speed hydro appreciate the extra range.
