TC30 3-pont Linkage lubrication

What I found works really well is a motorcycle chain lube called "Chain Wax". I get it at the Honda shop for my bike. It sprays on thin like WD40 and cuts/disolves rust. After a few minutes it sets up similar to a thin grease to act as a lubricant. Best part is it doesn't attract dirt like grease will.

I'll have to check out the "chain wax".

Is this the stuff maxima usa chain wax ?

The "fling resistance" will come in handy if I ever hot rod my tractor /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Yikes! I wonder if that is a 'changed' item. Back in the late 98 or so.. I broke the adjustable link on my yanmar and went to the NH dealer to get one for a tc18. it matched in size great ( however the counter person actually would not sell it to me! as he said ti was ONLY for a tc18.. and not any other tractor ... how about that for an answer! It even had the correct sized ends on both sides. bummer. I ended up getting one from a massey and having a friend burn off one end and weld a 'replaceable' end on for me. )

Anyway.. I'm almost sure that unit had a crank then.. I could be mistaken though /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif as that was 7+ years ago..

I'll have to check into it. After using Dad's deluxe TC40, I'd much rather have the hand crank. The adjustable lift arms are sweet too.

Its the same for all the small chassis machines....no crank. Not sure when they dropped it but my almost 2yr old machine doesnt....

I lube every thing with a zerk with a grease gun. Anything that moves including the threads of the leveling arm I spray with a can of white lithium grease. I just love that stuff the way it foams and gets in everywhere before the carrier evaporates and leaves the grease behind. I also spray all nuts and exposed threads on my equipment with it. Makes them easy to get off even years from now.BTW the dirt stays on the outer surface fo the grease and can be wiped of with a rag before taking it apart or to apply more.

Yep, the same stuff. If you find any zerks on the 3ph let me know, I haven't found any.

I wonder if it's possible to upgrade to those fancy hand crank side links? Or is this the excuse I need to get a TnT setup. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I might have to try that. I've been using Justice Brothers JB-80 on mine. That or LPS 3.
