Gumby6, Great photos! Sounds like you are having a great time and getting some useful work done with that new TC. That garage look mammoth inside. What's the width of the metal building?

Hey Doug,

The dims are 30 wide 40 long 14'6 high.

It is still in construction, I plan to erect the end walls in the spring. As you can see the structure is fully supported by the side walls without need of trusses.

This is to be MY space. Wood & Metal working shop and dry storage for my baby. I currently am making do with a shop 10x16. Everything is necessarily on wheels and much time is wasted just setting up a station to do one step in any given project. Nothing for it though as I have no other space. That is why for my 2nd/retirement home I am pulling out all the stops. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Can't you just picture my Chop Saw, Mortising Machine, Drill Press, Mill/Drill/Lathe, Bandsaw, & Jointer stretching their legs down one long wall! /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I am making snow angels on that floor in my mind as I type this!!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Here is a link to a reply post I made in the PROJECTS forum to another potential owner of my building type. There is a picture attached.

Well everyone, I plan on giving a 10 hour update regarding the new tractor. But I will say it has already done great duty leveling my gravel drive, moving logs, even erecting my end walls for the shop...there is more but that is to come.

One critic I do have regards the brake lock lever placement. Way down there between my feet on the floor. I wasn't aware I had lost so much flexibility until I first tried to engage that lock.

Any thoughts on a useful mod would be appreciated.

Gary
