I shopped at both Grandville Tractor and Burnips Equipment. I ended up buying at Burnips because they are bigger. They service more, they stock more, and they have more implements in stock. Both places were pretty close on prices and each was willing to match the other to get the deal. I don't think I've gotten any great deals on attachments and such after the initial sale. I am going to have to start shopping around more from now on.

Spencer,
I bought my 40d at Burnips too (dealt with Scott), Looked at Grandville, but felt like I was going to pay too much. I've never bought any implements from Burnips, you might want to check out Wobma's in Wayland. I know that's kind of a hike for you, but I think I've gotten some great deals there.
I live in Caledonia, so it's not too far from me. E-mail me off-line and I'll tell you more.

nice job, you gave me some good ideas. we are still in the leaf season here in pa and with all the rain we are getting the days are very short ... so lights all over the place are now a must.

thanks for your impute.

I was outside last night mulching up leaves on my paths through the woods with my Bush Hog. The lights were very nice to have. I do wish I had some up higher, like on the underside of the top of the ROPS.

Hi Spencer and all.

I do wish I had some up higher, like on the underside of the top of the ROPS.

I will take that as an endorsment that when I put lights on my tractor I should mount them as high as possible!

Thanks for sharing that insight!

you got me going by the way those pictures looked ... so i treated myself at my local auto parts place to two square tractor lights with a protective wire shield included. my ROPS have a roof attached to it (power trac 425). so i started to mount them in the corners of the combination roof/ROPS area.

these tractor lights can come in different types of beams. i will do a follow up on make, model and the various beams.

Spencer,

Nice job on the lighting additions, but my question is directed toward the wiring harness. When
I asked my NH dealer for the 2 pole connector that mates to the factory supplied plug (the one you used for the new lights), they had no idea what I was asking about. I took one of the parts guys to the showroom when they could not identify the plug in the parts book or harness diagram. They were surprised that it was there. I have yet to find a 2 pole plug to fit. I finally did find a 2 pole plug at Tractor Supply (second store I visited), but it did not have the right prong depth. I have since been using the same setup you show.

Anybody out there know anything about this NH supplied 2 pole plug?

I looked around for the plug and didn't find one. I ended cutting the plug off and using my own connectors.

You might check with Radio Shack, I've had good luck finding odds and ends for most electrical jobs.

I got a couple of them at an Advance auto parts store; they were with the trailer wiring. I had a hard time finding them also.
