Took off my dash to change out the flasher module but the retainer nuts that were in the fiberglass cracked off on both sides - I guess it's age or something.. any idea how to repair it or find a auto clip that might hold it in tighter?
It sits ok without falling out but I need to fix it but would prefer not to buy a new dash cowling...

Thanks

To change the flasher module, I thought all you had to do was take off the panels underneath the dash, not the dash itself?

Started there but 2 screws on the dash looked much easier - and did provide easy access to the module - only problem was the brittleness of the fiberglass. Otherwise, would have been 3 minutes and done...!

Not sure what the problem looks like but I've had good results making repairs with Super Glue or epoxy glue. As long as there is a good surface to work with.
You can also find a hefty selection of automotive clips at any good parts store.

Mine has cracks showing around holes also; not sure but is it possible to drill new hole, countersink them and and hold it in a different location? Glue will probably just crack again.

Thanks - not much left to work with - I'll take a picture but I think I'm going to use a little PVC glue and stick a small tab on to screw to.
I'll let you know how it turns out..!

I guess you could use a washer on a flathead screw so it grabs some good material.

A plastic welder would be best. I think Harbor Freight carries an inexpensive one. I know that they carry the plastic welding rod.
JB Weld another option.

Thanks - good suggestions - I'll look into the plastic welder - sounds interesting
