TC33D hydraulic cooler hose failure

Rich,
I know my Class I TC18 is different. It does not have the hoses that make a 90° turn. I did have a loose hose clamp at one time that needed a twist or two, no other problem since.

Not all the smaller Nh are/were like that. On my ex-NH 1920.. when you opened the hood, the battery was at the base of the radiator.. you had to reach in and then all the way down to get the battery out.. lift it straight up, and try not to ding the radiator with it.. only about an inch of room to move around with...Absolutely nothing easy about that that i ever experienced... Besides the fact that having a battery anywhere in front of the radiator would seem to block flow.. also.. having a battery in front of radiator might let acid get on the very thin aluminum...

As I stated.. i like the swing out battery frame that some of the larger tractors used. Pop the hood, pull a pin, and the battery swings out 90' perpendicular to the tractor.. easy to wash it down, do cables.. and you don't have to lift that battery off with the fear that if you drop it, that it will break something expensive on the engine or radiator.. etc.

Sorry if I'm a little late jumping into this thread, but here is a link that contains a picture of the CNH "fix" for this problem.

That's pretty much what my DX looks like as purchased. Maybe they made a running production change when they became aware of the problem.

Has anyone checked the new 31 and 34 to see how it's set up?
