Got my new toy (edit) tool home this afternoon and am very pleased with her!!

Previous owner is still looking for the owners manual and is not sure if the year model 07 or not. Can anyone tell me where to look up the serial number?

Also checked and the rear tires are loaded

Look behind the left-hand step under the operator's platform. The serial number tag should be riveted to the running gear (transmission case) about 2"h x 3"w. If you have a digital camera, it's probably not a bad idea to take a close-up picture of the ID tag on your tractor and also the one on your loader.

OK I found the serial number ,or actually it said product identification number,
Is the product id the same as the serial number? Now that I have the number how do I tell what the model Year is?

My plate has blanks for:

1. Tractor Number
2. Model
3. Engine
4. Unit
5. Transmission

The tractor number on mine starts with a "G" and is then a serialized number. To my knowledge, the date of manufacture is not coded into that number. You would have to get in touch with New Holland to find out or find a list somewhere that shows all serial numbers and dates. Since all warranty dates begin when the tractor is purchased, you need to find that out from your neighbor and keep that as your "working" date.

My tractor has an inspection date on the upper side of the hood, although it was an early model. (May 2000)

I called New Holland today with my serial number and here is what I found out:
The production date of the tractor is 12 15 05 he would not tell me the original purchase date ( said the dealer may be able to tell me) He did however tell me that the powertrain warranty was good until July 2009 and that the boomer tractors have a 3 year power train warranty so I guess I can make a pretty good guess that the tractor has been in service about 1 3/4 years. I thought the tractor was a little closer to 1 year old instead of close to two so I guess I will have to sell it I was also told that There was an hour limit or year limit but with only 31 hours I think I will hit the date first....If I decide to keep such an old tractor

A search of my posts in the New Holland Owning/Operating forum will yield a host of posts by me regarding my early problems. My joystick broke repeatedly until New Holland came out with a better design, then no more problems.

My HST pedal mechanical link to the transmission was so poorly welded that it broke going into the transmission. That made me almost disassemble the operator's platform to get to the problem and have it welded properly. I did the work myself except for the welding that was provided by my dealer. I talked myself into doing it because I did not think I wanted another poorly welded pedal. If I had it to do again, I would have just returned it to the dealer as a warranty repair. New Holland has since started fully welding these joints instead of just tacking them together like mine was.

I had soft metal in my lift arms and those were replaced under a NH campaign.

My battery leaked acid all over the front of my tractor and I had to have the radiator replaced and also the HST lines going to the cooler. Later, I completely refinished the battery platform and added a battery box. Finally, I just went to a SLA Optima battery and cured the problem.

I had a fuel cutoff solenoid go bad and burn up.

All but the last problem have been the subject of changed design by NH to improve or eliminate the problems I had.

So, despite the problems I've had, I still really like my tractor and think it was the best purchase I could have made at the time. It has done a heck of a lot of work for me and I still love the layout of its controls and what I can do with it.

Your TC35DA has a little less power, but at your cost, I don't want to hear any complaints from you.
