Wow, that is a smokin' deal on a great tractor. I have the exact same tractor and paid about $1000 more. Mine had 340 hours on the clock though. I also got a few more implements thrown in but a deal like you got is a rarity.

Where in middle TN are you?

Mike,

I live in Lincoln County. What about you (Maury County)? Have you had good service from your tractor? I have read a few horror stories on here about New Holland tractors, not enough to keep me from buying at such a good price but I am curious what others have run into. I had a Ford tractor in the past and had zero problems.

I really like mine. I bought it used about 1 year ago. It is just right for my needs. Big enough to move things, but small enough to trailer, and it seems robust.

I haven't had any problems, except for the issues Jinman talked about. What is interesting is that the design problems Jinman noted(except for the Joystick) were present, but ignored.

perky,

Nice deal on that tractor....you almost stole that there tractor. :D

I have had my tractor now for 4 years & have worked it hard. Very few problems, mainly electrical. (Infamous #2 fuse & glow plug relay died.) Reading Jinman's post, I hope by now since I have not had any issues with my FEL arms I don't run into what Jinman had with soft medal. That would be dang awful & a big bummer.

Congratulations on a fine machine.

Vic, the soft metal was in the 3PH lift arms, not the FEL. I should have made that clearer in my post.:)

I called New Holland today with my serial number and here is what I found out:
The production date of the tractor is 12 15 05 he would not tell me the original purchase date ( said the dealer may be able to tell me) He did however tell me that the powertrain warranty was good until July 2009 and that the boomer tractors have a 3 year power train warranty so I guess I can make a pretty good guess that the tractor has been in service about 1 3/4 years. I thought the tractor was a little closer to 1 year old instead of close to two so I guess I will have to sell it ;) I was also told that There was an hour limit or year limit but with only 31 hours I think I will hit the date first....If I decide to keep such an old tractor :)

Thanks for all the input
Chris

Yea thats a wicked old tractor. I'm supprised it still runs. Maybe you could get antique plates for it....;)

*If that TC35 had a few more horses it could drive to China and then back out . Just look at Jinmans photo; he is just coming back from China!!!!!

With all the good advice you have shared with others, my guess would be China.
