TC35D 3-Point Bounce

I was actually going to post a question on this because I have the same issue but I think it's a different problem. My 03 TC40D has 1500+ hours and has had the jumping issue for longer than I want to admit. Mine also will jump from as soon as lift any attachment off the ground and any lift height right to the top plus it will settle back to the ground with the tractor off (I think it has always done that though and I've owned it since new). The reason I've let it go so long is that I've been able to bump the handle up or down a little and could usually get to stop. There is a small arm that comes off the right 3point arm pivot that has a turn buckle on it, roughly 5/16 thread size. On other tractors I've used that had twitchy 3 points I just had to adjust this turnbuckle to sync the arms to the valve that adds hydraulic pressure or releases it as needed to maintain the height you set them at. I tried to adjust mine and unlike the other tractors I adjusted it was binding no matter which way I tried to turn it. On the other tractors this turned easily and just made the arms go up or down a little. I unhooked the linkage and the valve arm is very stiff I can't move it at all tractor running or not. I may now have the cylinder issue that has been mentioned as I can rarely get it to stop jumping but I think my main problem is that valve. I don't have a service manual and so I have been reluctant to pull the valve apart. Has any one else had this problem with this valve and or had it apart? I have plenty of tools just don't know if I'll need any specialty tools to reassemble. Sorry I know this is long just wanted to include as much info as I could.

I'm reluctant to get into mine as well. I'm swamped with work and really don't have time to be down for long.

That arm comes into play only at the highest 3PH lever position. It stops the lift arms from going into the stops with pressure still applied. The adjustment instructions clearly state that to adjust that arm you:

1. Disconnect the arm.
2. Raise the 3PH until it goes into relief and then lower just enough to stop it.
3. Reconnect the arm and adjust it for approximately one turn below the level where the 3PH goes into relief.
4. Retest the 3PH to ensure the arms quit raising without the hydraulic system going into relief.

If your arm is stiff, that's a problem, but don't try to make adjustments anywhere but at the full height position of the 3PH.
