It looks like it it but it isn't. At least not if you're referring to the seat switch.

Having said that the terminals on the seat are two separate spade terminals.

That now has me wondering if someone bypassed the switch and someone else "rectified" the situation. :scratchchin:

Well, when I finally got my compressor up there I gave it a blast up the pipe and fuel started flowing almost immediately. So I went through the bleeding process  and, after a few coughs and splutters, it started and ran.

I let it run for a while but didn't do anything further since it seems that putting it under load triggers the problem. The contractor is coming tomorrow to transport it back to our place where I can have even more fun cleaning out a nearly full fuel tank!!

For now I'm having a well earned libation before participating in a local forum quiz later this evening. Cheers!

Been a while for me here, but I used to get a lot from jinman when he was around he would always chime in with several answers to try and one always worked.
I've had my tc35d share of fuel problems also and a few years ago replace the fuel sending unit in the tank and it was rusted to pieces. I've taken the spring clamp off my fuel line where it comes into the filter, that way I can check to see if any fuel is getting from the tank to the filter and so on. if it's dry at that point then it's not a electrical switch cutoff issue.

I saw a post/thread about the fuel sending unit when researching.

Not sure about the wisdom of removing the spring clamp to be honest. It's not that difficult to pull back if necessary.

With my TC40D it was both a blockage and the fuel cut-off solenoid. Not sure if the solenoid had simply come to the end of it's working life or if something caused it to fail.

I was unable to get my tractor back home last week so that's just adding to my frustration.

Finally got my tractor back where it belongs. Provided the container I have is big enough and the weather holds fair then it's fuel tank cleaning time. Goody!!

Got the tank off and emptied it and something relatively large came out with it. Haven't yet been able to identify it with any certainty but it looks rather like a piece of wet n' dry paper.

However I'm struggling now to get the two bolt holes aligned at the rear of the tank. Any 'tricks of the trade' that anyone knows?

With the tank empty it us fairly light and you should be able to shake it around enough to line up the holes. If I remember right, we removed what connects the two rear wheel fenders together to make it easier for things to move ..... it has been a while since we have had to do this, so I don't remember entirely what we did.

I considered that but didn't really want to do it. In the end I managed to get the bolts aligned and connected with a little help.

Finally got the tractor sorted but have yet to use it in anger. Would have had it done sooner had it not been elsewhere.

Anyway the fuel seems to be flowing a lot more freely and I didn't have to bleed it anywhere near to the extent I was anticipating.

If conditions are suitable I might try aerating the pitch tomorrow.
