YEEE-HHAAAWWWWWW !!!!
I BOUGHT IT ! I GOT IT !!!
AN incredible 2001 TC35D with FEL. Came c/w electric block heater. Thanks to all of you that responded to my queries regarding NH reliability (you guys are the best) as I also found out that (sure enough) the engine was running cold. Me....a first time owner had to teach the Dealership about the bypassing of the Thermostat by the hose between rad & block. So they are now going to provide a fix for me. They are also going to add a rear remote (I am putting $200 towards it) but it is a TC40D remote. Does anybody see any problems with this ????

The CNH Reference Number (#710366036) is the same for both the TC35D and TC40D so you shouldn't have a problem. For $200 you got a deal - the first remote has a list price of $253 - the second and third remotes list for $213. However, these prices are from 06/02, so there may be some changes on a more recent price list.

Kozak, CONGRATULATIONS! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I think you made a good choice. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif As Chris indicated, all Class III tractors use the same remote valve kits. I would also suggest you read my recent thread about what I found on my remote valve here:
Sticky Remote Valve

The only reason I can think that your dealer would call that valve a TC40D valve is because he may be removing it from a TC40D to put on your 35D. This could mean that the valve has been installed on the 40D for several months and it could be gummed up like mine. Even if it is a brand new valve, you could ask your dealer to do the simple removal of the cover and put some lubricant inside so you won't have to deal with this as a maintenance item in the future.

Good luck, and let us know your first impressions as you begin to use your new best buddy. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Kozak you sound like a kid in a candy store, and rightfully so. Congratulations on your TC-35D purchase, you're going to love it. I'm kind of partial to the color BLUE myself. ENJOY

Thanks for the pics PineRidge. Thanks also for that link. Some ingenious ideas there. Is that your tractor depicted ?
If it is, WHAT A PIECE OF MACHINERY !!!! You must be proud.
I will not be receiving my tractor till sometime in the middle of next week. Have some work to do on it as bucket is rusty & arms of FEL have some rust spots.

On a unrelated topic, how do you guys add attachment pictures to your posts that are less than 100 kBytes ??

Welcome kozak,
After you compose your post, make sure the preview box is checked, click continue, then click the browse button and find your picture. Click on that and it will include the picture.

I'm guessing that your question is related more to reducing the size of the picture below 100 kBytes rather than how to do an attachment. The process I use is:

1. Resize the picture down to around 640 x 480 pixels
2. Save the resized photo as a JPEG (.jpg) file with fairly high compression (this normally produces a filesize between 50-75 kBytes)
3. Post the photo as an attachment

If you don't know how to do this, you'll need to let us know what software you are using for your digital photos. Most likely, someone will have the same software and can help you with the exact steps for your software.

Thanks jinman ! I'll try to attach some pictures when my tractor comes in. A slight delay until middle of the following week. Although the TC40D has the same part number for the rear remote as the TC35D, mechanic at dealership said it would'nt work. So they had to order in a TC35D remote.

Getting ANXIOUS now !!

I also had them check out the steering wheel as it would not lock in place once adjusted. This was part of the negotiations. Well.....they found the cylinder defective within (steering column ?) Not sure if I have that right. But sounds like water entered & froze. They have to order & install a new one at a tune of $270 Canadian that they will have to absorb. Nyuk, Nyuk, Nyuk, Nyuk !!!!!

Same chassis, same parts book, same part number = different part.....hmmmm

There must be more to this dealer's story /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
