Re: Two dealers prices

I can tell you I think these dealers are just giving you a story. The dealer policy manual say the A plan was discontinued. I can also tell you our normal selling price for a Tc30 with loader is 15000.00. So I think these guys are just trying to get your business by giving you a story.

Re: Two dealers prices

The best price you have there is from your OH dealer and he is still almost 600.00 over cost. so you can see he is full of it.

Re: Two dealers prices

yes, spencer200, without an independent source to verify the prices I am skeptical of the quotes I am getting. Two other dealers to which I haven't yet been also advertise A-plan pricing. I'm going to get prices from them to see where they fall. So, I have four dealers telling me there is A-plan. You're saying there isn't and I have no reason to think you're giving me a story since you're not trying to sell me anything. This leads me to conclude that all the NH dealers I've talked to are liars. If this is the case, I have can only assume that the local green and orange dealer are liars as well. This leads me back to my original plan of doing my homework, buying a decent used (old) machine and plan on wrenching on it myself. I'm inclined to do this anyway and since the tractor isn't going to be putting food on the table, I can afford some downtime if(when) something goes wrong.

X-Plan is a supplier discount. Everyone and their mother is on the list. I worked for 5 years at Comau North America, now Comau Pico which was owned by Fiat. I went rounds with them for a year trying to get some kind of employee discount. All fell through. The Italians didn't care. I've read about savings in these forums by doing a purchase from another state. I believe I read that this gets you around having to pay taxes. Maybe Mr. Miller or Spencer could comment.

Subject: A-Plan

Several of the New Holland dealers near me are advertising "A-plan" availability or Ford employees and retirees. I thought the A-Plan and X-Plan purchase programs had been discontinued. Are these plans still available? If so, please send me a description of the plans's benefits.

Thank you.
