TC40DA Rabbit/Turtle Switch not working

Technically we don't own a cat, my wife is very allergic to them. That said we have a regular wild cat that "hangs" on the property because we put food out for it. We don't feed it to much and it takes care of the nice, and those pesky chipmunks for us. It's a good trade off.

Just fixed Turtle-Rabbit problem!! Was moisture/mineral deposits on rear of Joystick switch. Cleaned between soldered terminals (see end of test probe) and working now!!!

I had the same problem (stays in rabbit). I did what jinman said by unplugging each of the 2 turtle/rabbit switches at different times to isolate the fault. The syastem is designed to "fail-safe" to the turtle mode. My problem was the switch in the joy stick. I do remember having some what of a difficult time unplugging the switch on the fender. I needed 3 hands. I had to unplug mine during the winter so there was a greater chance of me breaking those dern little plastic tabs. The dealer gave me a replacement for free so I couldn't tell you what it cost
