Price Check TC45D price & motor question

Just tested a 2002 TC45D with hydro, 17LA loader w/quick attach 72" HD bucket, AG tires, super-steer, rear remotes, wheel weights, loaded tires, block heater, rear work light, and grill guard. They are asking $18000. Is this a good price?

Also, this has happened on another used TC45D I tested, the engine at idle accelerates up and down. Is this normal for this engine? I currently have a NH 1630 and the idle is at a constant speed.

I paid 1500 less, but had R-4's, no wheel weights, no front guard, 1200 hrs, and no QA. Yours sounds a bit better than mine, but I am glad I got mine.

Pretty good chance the low idle speed is below spec and the governor is "hunting". Bump the throttle up about 50 rpms and see if it settles down.

I agree with RickB. I was going to ask what rpm the engine is idling at. Mine will hunt a little when I first start it, but it becomes steady as soon as it warms up and the idle settles out at 1000 rpm. If the tractor is below 1000 rpm, bump it up a little and see if that doesn't make it smooth out.

...and the price is very good. That's a $24,000+ tractor when it was new.
